Effective leadership in behavior analysis extends beyond clinical expertise, it requires intentional skill-building in how we support, guide, and collaborate with our teams. This webinar is designed to strengthen leadership practices by addressing a critical gap in the field: the limited focus on formal leadership training for behavior analysts.

Participants will explore how their current leadership style influences team dynamics, staff engagement, and overall performance. We will examine the impact of shifting from directive or compliance-based models toward a more collaborative, relationship-centered approach that aligns with both organizational goals and values of compassionate, high-quality care.

A key focus of this training will be applying group contingencies as a practical and ethical tool for improving team performance. Attendees will learn how to design and implement group-based systems that promote accountability, shared responsibility, and collective success while maintaining respect for individual differences within their teams.

By the end of the session, participants will leave with actionable strategies to enhance leadership effectiveness, foster stronger team cohesion, and create work environments that support both staff well-being and client outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify and reflect on their current leadership style and its impact on team performance
  • Describe the role and application of group contingencies within professional and organizational settings
  • Select and implement appropriate group contingencies to support team-wide performance improvements
  • Apply a collaborative, relationship-centered approach to leadership within their clinical teams
